Dr. Monica Scamardo
Dr. Monica Scamardo holds undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees in psychology with specializations in working with systems and diverse populations. Her area of expertise is applying research-based psychological principles to organizational/workplace challenges to enable strategic and measurable change. Utilizing systemic and strengths-based models Monica works with change management, problem assessment, performance issues, goal-setting, motivation and achievement, communication, and conflict resolution issues.

Monica is involved in all the major service areas of Variate. She works with individual clients, teams, and organizations. Monica consults with and coaches employees, managers, and leaders on organizational challenges, conflict, change management, and leadership development.

Over the past 10 years Monica has presented on a variety of topics, including: Building Trust & Morale, Dealing with Difficult Behaviors, Managing Organizational Change, Communication Strategies, Stress Management, Emotional Intelligence, Customer Service, and Supervisory Skills.

Monica facilitates team discussions and retreats focused on improving working relationships, overcoming the impact of organizational change, dealing with conflict, and managing the impact of crisis in the workplace (i.e., layoffs, death, violence).

Monica also works as a consulting psychologist with the faculty and staff at The University of Texas at Austin, Employee Assistance Program within Human Resource Services. She also teaches undergraduate and graduate courses at universities in Austin and is a contract trainer with UT's Professional Development Center.
